The American Revolution was a direct result of Enlightenment thinking and deeply influenced (perhaps even caused) the French Revolution. Two Ppts on the American Revolution and the development of our form of government (The Republic). Test on Ch 6 on Monday. (you may have a 3x5 note card to use on the test) The Enlightenment ideas of human rights, scientific advancements, etc. spread across W. Europe. What was so radical about these ideas? What impact did they have upon the power of The Church, Governments, and Society?
Read 6.2 and answer questions:
Turn in at end of class (EOC) Two Ppt lectures on 1) Scientists and great thinkers of the Renaissance through the Enlightenment/Age of Reason and 2) Significant inventions, discoveries, and ideas that altered how and what we think and understand.
