Community Services From the perspective of someone you own age (14-17 years old), look for what resources are available to assist with various real-world issues teens might encounter that are beyond the purview of the school to resolve (though certainly they may be able to guide you to help). Focus first on local resources here in Simi, then regional (Ventura Coutny/SF Valley), State, and finally Federal programs, funding, etc.. Remember, if one is “in trouble”, transportation out of the area will be difficult. Bus schedules are appreciated if you are recommending travel. Choose ONE of the following: depression/suicide, homelessness, food, unplanned pregnancy, abuse, immigration, teen rights, probation/parole (life AFTER prision-- not misdemeanors), emancipated minor.
