Lee Greenwood If tomorrow all the things were gone I worked for all my life, And I had to start again with just my children and my wife, I thank my lucky stars to be living here today ‘Cause the flag still stand for freedom, and they can’t take that away I’m proud to be an American Where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died Who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up next to you And defend her still today ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God Bless the USA. From the Lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee, Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea, From Detroit down to Houston, and New York to L.A., Well, there’s pride in every American heart, and it’s time that we stand and say that I’m proud to be an American Where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died Who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up next to you And defend her still today ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God Bless the USA. America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till nobler men keep once again Thy whiter jubilee! America (My Country, 'Tis of Thee) Text: Samuel F. Smith, 1808-1895 Music: Thesaurus Musicus My country,' tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing; land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrims' pride, from every mountainside let freedom ring! My native country, thee, land of the noble free, thy name I love; I love thy rocks and rills, thy woods and templed hills; my heart with rapture thrills, like that above. Let music swell the breeze, and ring from all the trees sweet freedom's song; let mortal tongues awake; let all that breathe partake; let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong. Our fathers' God, to thee, author of liberty, to thee we sing; long may our land be bright with freedom's holy light; protect us by thy might, great God, our King.
