Monday: Begin reading Act II. Turn in your "Has Hamlet Gone Crazy" short write.
Tuesday: Read "Defending Claudius" on the unit page. Discuss Claudius' actions and the possible motives, both good and bad, for the things he does.
ALSO discuss why Hamlet is so determined to see Claudius' actions only as being motived by the "bad" and will not give his favorite uncle, who was like a father to him, the benefit of the doubt. Does this say more about Hamlet than it does about Claudius? WHAT does it say about Hamlet?
Thursday: Lecturette on SP paper requirements and organization/format

Friday: Review events of Act II so far and continue reading/discussing the play.
AND we will do peer editing. "FD" due Friday, but I'll grade what revision is there on Monday.
READ: pp1787-1792: Hamlet's Melancholy, Hamlet & Ophelia, and Producing Hamlet.
Add to your notes on the nature of Hamlet's relationship with Ophelia, based on what we know of their interactions thus far.
We will also watch several scenes from different versions of he play.
