In class, sub will have you watch the Pardoner's Prologue and Tale video (also on the unit page). Then you can begin the questions and short essay (one Google doc to the Classroom by 8 AM Wed. of next week).
We'll discuss both stories during the week.

Monday and Tuesday we will have the groups lead the discussion on the pilgrims they were in charge of analyzing. Please clarify:
Time in class to work on/submit the SP Formal Outlines.
OR work on the Pilgrim Analysis charts with your group (due to Classroom by EOC Monday)
OR read your SRC novel (too many of you have no points!)
Monday and part of Tuesday:
Review the "Save the Cat" modern interpretation of Aristotle's epic arc (plot outline). Apply the "beats" (parts of an epic plot) to the classic Beowulf story (do not mix up the story with the film!). You may use the headings and have a couple of sentences below each heading. This is an assignment, not an essay.
"Lo there do I see my father;
We will view the film The 13th Warrior. Students will take notes comparing how the film, though not a great adaptation of the Beowulf, nevertheless stays true to the original in several ways and even illuminates aspects of the story.
These notes will evolve into an essay (draft) due by the end of class on Friday to TII.
